Bella Luna Estate Winery We aren’t just a family making wine - we create stories. We are all about dry-farming our 10 acres in the Templeton Gap District of Paso Robles.

We let Mother Nature produce wines that define each harvest 🍇 Stop by - feel the charm that is a family biz🍷 Family owned and operated winery concentrates predominately on Italian varietals, making small lot, single vineyard premium red and white wine. The Estate's vineyard is planted in the noble Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals and is one of the few dry farmed, head trained, Sangioves

e vineyards in California. Dry-farming has a major influence in our wine style, and, because we grew up around it, we believe it makes better wine. We're thrilled to welcome the Shawn Clark Band back to Bella Luna on Sunday, June 28th, from 6–8 PM for an evening of live music, great wine, and good company.

Come hungry! Choco's Mexican Grill will be serving up delicious food available for purchase, and we'll also have pop-up vendors from Cook's Custom Creations and Dani Cole Tea joining us for the evening.

Some friendships become family, and some legacies live on through the lives they continue to touch.

As we look through these photos of Sherman Smoot and Kevin Healey, we’re reminded of a partnership built on friendship, service, laughter, and a shared dream that became Bella Luna Estate Winery.

This year’s Wine & Dine PourFest holds special meaning for us as we honor the memory of our late President, Sherman Smoot. Sherman was a proud veteran whose love for his fellow servicemen and women never faded. Supporting Central Coast Honor Flight—a cause that was incredibly close to his heart—is one of the many ways we can continue the work he cared so deeply about.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Central Coast Honor Flight, helping veterans visit the memorials built in their honor and receive the recognition they so richly deserve.

As Bella Luna continues under the leadership of President, Laurie Smoot, we are proud to carry forward the values Sherman championed: service, community, friendship, and gratitude.

Join us as we celebrate Sherman, support our veterans, and raise a glass to a life well lived.

Vintage 1986. 🍷✨

Today we're celebrating Nichole — Bella Luna's General Manager and an important part of our story.

From growing up in the vineyard, to earning degrees in Enology and Viticulture from Fresno State, to spending nearly eight years making wine in Australia, her path has always led back to Bella Luna.

Today, she helps guide everything from the tasting room and wine club to harvest and winery operations, carrying forward the vision that began when her dad, Kevin, and Sherman first planted the vineyard.

Nearly half an inch of rain on May 28th? In Paso Robles, that’s something worth talking about. 🌧️

Today’s unexpected shower left the vineyard sparkling, settled the dust, and filled the air with the smell of fresh rain on dry soil. The vines and developing clusters got a rare late-spring refresh, and we’re not complaining.

Sometimes Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes. 🍇🍷

Paso Wine Fest never disappoints 🍷☀️

This year was especially fun because we had an incredible team pouring for us, which gave us the chance to step away from the booth, explore, reconnect with friends in the industry, and soak in all the energy that makes Paso wine country so special.

We were honored to pour in the VIP lounge alongside some amazing wineries including Thibido, Royal Nonesuch Farm, and Linne Calodo. We poured our 2019 Nebbiolo, and it was absolutely spectacular - a perfect wine for the day and such a joy to share with everyone who stopped by to taste.

One of our favorite parts of Wine Fest is getting to spend time with our fellow winemakers and celebrate the community behind Paso Robles wine. From catching up with old friends to discovering new wines (and oysters!) along the way, it reminded us why we love being part of this region.

Thanks to everyone who visited us at our booth and in the VIP lounge and shared the weekend with us. Already looking forward to next year! 🥂🍇

Happy 78th Birthday to Kevin, co-founder of Bella Luna.

Kevin is the heart of this place - the hands in the vineyard, the foundation behind the wines, and still the first one to jump on a tractor. Salt of the earth doesn’t even begin to cover it. To know Kevin is to love him.

We’re grateful every day for the legacy he’s built and the example he continues to set. His influence continues to shape every bottle we make.

A cellar toast to the New Year 🥂
We’re welcoming 2026 with full glasses, much-needed winter rain soaking into our vineyard soils, and our ever-popular concrete egg holding court in the cellar-still the most talked-about feature in our tasting room.
We’ll be taking the next two weeks to rest, reset, and let the vines (and ourselves) enjoy the season. The tasting room will reopen on January 15, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
