Jack Creek Farms is a small 5th generation family farm. Our farm is nestled in the coastal foothills of Central California 6 miles west of Templeton and Paso Robles. Our farm stand is located directly off of scenic Highway 46 West, in the heart of San Luis Obispo County wine country. We have RV and tour bus parking with easy highway access. Folks who visit our farm are invited to take a few moment

s to reconnect with simpler times past. Stroll through our demonstration gardens and antique farm equipment display. Pick an apple, olallieberries or a basket of sun kissed vine ripe tomatoes. Discover long forgotten heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables enjoyed many generations ago. In the fall kids love our u-pick pumpkin patch. Browse our country store or visit with the farm animals. We use naturally grown farming methods and believe firmly in being good stewards of the land. We provide you with an opportunity to put a face on your farmer, and to learn where your food comes from. We plant, tend, and harvest by hand which results in a high quality product. Summer produce is picked fresh daily and at its peak of ripeness. We are pleased to offer you fresh and wholesome foods, old-fashioned hospitality, and a true taste of country each time you stop by. By supporting small family farms, you have helped to not only preserve our rural character and cherished open space, you have also helped to preserve our family traditions and heritage. Thank you and see you soon!!! Tim, Joy, Becky and Mandy

Pumpkins are a-growing!

The video takes you back in time starting yesterday all the way back to early June.

Since we’re going back a few weeks in time, now might be good to catch you all up on why we’ve been quiet on social media (other than current harvest updates). If we’ve been a bit slow to respond to your call, email, comment or private message, thank you for showing us some grace. Read below for the full, albeit long, story as told by me, Mandy.

In early June as we were preparing to plant pumpkins Dad (Tim) had a serious allergic reaction to of all things hay mites. He was down for 3 weeks, and was unable to help finish getting the fields ready to plant. Becky, myself, my husband Casey, and our littlest farmer all stepped in as best we could to keep things moving forward to get everything planted on time. I made the rows with the big wheel tractor for the first time, not Dad. I drive the little one regularly, but the really big one is intimidating! Please don’t judge me on how straight the pumpkin rows are or aren’t ;). Dad is finally doing better as you can see in the first photo. He’s been able to take on the task of keeping all the little baby plants watered during these hot days.

Just over a month ago in mid-June, Casey as well as our littlest farmer, were in a serious hay hauling accident. Casey broke his leg requiring surgery to place a metal plate just below his knee. We’re grateful he’s on the mend but he will continue to be non-weight bearing on it for at least another month. The littlest farmer’s lacerated spleen among other things, had the local ER doctors worried. This prompted a late-night life-flight helicopter ride for him and I to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. Thankfully he was released the next day. As a precaution, he was told to wear a neck brace for several weeks as you will see on him in the video. He was cleared to keep it off yesterday - praise God! We are so thankful for God’s protection over them during the accident and for the healing that He’s done so far and is continuing to do.

Mother Nature’s continuing to keep us on our toes, Anna Apples are ripe and ready for picking!🍎🍏
This warm weather sure has been ripening things up around here. I believe this will be the earliest we’ve had apples ready to pick here on our farm. Anna apples are a sweet, softer textured variety well suited for juicing or making apple sauce.

-Royal Velvet Lavender
-Late Santa Rosa Plums
-Raspberries
