Got the plots in today. 31 bean and 25 corn entries! Didn’t get many pictures but we had a great team to help. John Goddard, Jonathan Rhea, Peter, David Bilderback, Shaun Smith, Nate Rottero, and my father (couldn’t keep him down, just had cataract surgery yesterday). Thank you!!

I have had quite a few of my friends from middle TN say they were interested in helping with our efforts to assist the folks in North East TN. We have a person in Rock Island who has volunteered to receive at their place. If anyone is interested please contact me and I will get you in touch with them. Thank you, let’s keep helping!

In an effort to help farmers in and around North East TN that were impacted by floods we are accumulating fencing and livestock equipment to be donated to farmers in need. Donations of fencing and equipment can be dropped off at my shop where we will stage and load trailers. Our plans are to make deliveries on the week of October 28 so please anyone who wishes to donate do so by October 25. If you wish to make monetary donations please contact me. We will be working in conjunction with UT Extension agents in the area to help us distribute the items we collect to people in need. Please contact me before you make plans to drop off.

We will extend the receiving period until the end of next week. There are a few that still want to donate that needed some more time.

It’s been a great week! We had a big turnout Wednesday at my place and then again Thursday in McMinnville. Thank you to everyone that came out!
