As this year comes to a close there is so much to reflect upon, there has definitely been bads and a few goods. But it has definitely been a year to remember, I pray for all of our sake this next year is a better one!
All this aside it has been an exciting year for Elite Farms, having not only our first but also our second heifer born! After 5 years of breeding cows I finally got the heifer I’ve been waiting for since day 1! Next year will be an exciting calving and chicken hatching year! Mottled houdans were added to the program of hatching this year as well as Peppermint Ameraucanas!
In some exciting news we will be expecting a calf in the very near future (the next month or so) this is a bit of an oopsies calf but will be loved none the less. It should be 25% wagyu, 12.5 % milking shorthorn, 12.5% guernsey, and 50% Ayrshire. No Way is the momma and is definitely getting the belly to show 😂 (last picture) No Nonsense is bred for a full sibling to No Dri (Remsburg) and Journey is bred to Comanche for a pure milking shorthorn calf and they should be due in July, I will have to get her and No Nonsense preg checked.
I hope everyone has survived the year and hope this next year is a better one!
