We get asked why everything at Colvin Ranch Provisions comes from Southwest Washington. Wouldn't a bigger map mean a bigger selection?

It would. But it would also mean selling things from people we've never met. Keeping it to Southwest Washington means we can know the makers, visit the farms, and answer your questions honestly. It also means the money you spend here stays with the people who grow and make food in this corner of the state.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, and Colvin Ranch Provisions can help with most of the table.

Pre-orders are now open for a limited run of pasture-raised turkeys from Moir Country, raised with no corn, no soy, and non-GMO grains. They'll arrive fresh and chilled, not frozen, and will be ready for pickup at the shop in Tenino on Monday, November 23. Because they come in fresh, in-store pickup is the only option.

Turkeys run 13 to 14 pounds, so add a note to your order with your size preference. With a limited number available, we'd recommend reserving yours soon at https://shop.colvinranch.com/store/product/whole-turkey

New at Colvin Ranch Provisions: Harbor Fish Company seafood!

The Harbor Fish Company is Zack Worrell and Alex James of Gig Harbor. Zack grew up there and has spent more than a decade commercial fishing for salmon in Alaska; by his own count, he's been catching fish one way or another since he was five. In 2022, he and Alex started The Harbor Fish Company.

They fish Lynn Canal and Taku Inlet near Juneau aboard the Minter Bay, a 40-foot boat. Each fish is bled on deck and held at 34 degrees, then flash frozen within 24 hours and vacuum sealed. That care is what you're getting when you pull a fillet from the freezer at home.

At Colvin Ranch Provisions you'll find their wild Coho and Sockeye salmon and black cod, which they call "the butter of the sea" for its rich texture. Ask at the counter how the team likes to cook it.

New at Colvin Ranch Provisions: seafood.

First up is Cajun and BBQ smoked salmon, along with smoked halibut from Briney Sea Delicaseas in Tumwater. Their crew fillets each fish by hand, pulls the pin bones, brines it overnight, and smokes it in-house while keeping a close eye on the temperature. The Cajun version brings a little more kick than their classic.

It's ready to eat straight from the package. Try it on crackers with a local cheese, flaked into scrambled eggs, or on a board for weekend company.

Find it in the shop, open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.

All of it is Colvin Ranch grass-finished beef, raised right here in Tenino. Pair it with a few things from the shelves and dinner's handled for the week.
