Yesterday we attended the Mid State Dairy Goat Club Show! Its by far our favorite way to kick off Show season. The staff, the team, the committee were all amazing and, as always, the show was great!
Weiland took 5 sr does and 4 jrs.
Showmanship was the startvof the morning and he worked his way to 4th place in the 6 to 12 year old class.
The one of his girls fell off the milk stand and hurt her foot so she didnt get to show, but he did get to rock his first Nigerian milker ring with his yearling does. Both placed well in each ring with a high placing of 3rd for Daisy.
His nubian milkers placed about where we thought they might. With the level of competition present.
His Nubian jrs did pretty well also. No big ribbons this go around but we sure cheered on our friends!
The highlight of the day was his Recorded Grade , Agua, who took first in ring 1 and captured the jr champion!
The low of the day was Weiland getting stung by a bee and the Benadryl knocking him out.
Great day with great freinds and great goats!. Huge thank you to the show committee for a smoothly ran Show and to the judges for their time and effort all day!!
And to our friends and family who join us in a fun and crazy weekend of goat showing, where we literally pay to be judged!
On to the next one!!!
