Today was the first morning I had to feed in the rain since getting the peacock and peahens. I had my hood up—and my peacock completely lost it. He was staring at me like I was a total stranger, pacing back and forth, whipping his head side to side in full panic mode. I kept talking to him, trying to calm him down, but nothing was working.
Then it hit me—this bird thinks my hood is some big, scary monster.
I pulled the hood off, and just like that, he looked at me and instantly relaxed. And then… he had the audacity to give me a look, turn around, and stroll off to the other side of the coop like nothing ever happened.
