Some of my favorite memories started in the kitchen with my mom. ❤️

My mom learned how to make scones from her mom, and then she lovingly passed that tradition on to me. It’s something that’s been handed down through generations in our family, and every time I make scones, I think about the women who taught me before I ever taught anyone else.

Over the years, I’ve definitely improved my technique—especially stretching the dough nice and thin before dropping it into the hot oil. But if I’m being honest, my mom is still the queen of scones. I don’t think I’ll ever quite be able to compete with her! 😊

I’m so grateful she took the time to teach me, patiently sharing not just a recipe, but a family tradition. It’s one of the things I love most about serving fresh, hot scones at my catering events. Every batch carries a little piece of our family’s story.

Thanks, Mom, for passing your talent on to me. I hope to keep this tradition alive for many years to come. ❤️
