Good evening friends! It has been a while. We are great, our cows are fantastic. We are OUT of milk for a while. We have been getting a lot of interest, and I apologize for the delay. During the off season, I work more. Our cows are dry, and we are hoping our girls are pregnant. Pregnancy updates will follow, hopefully, between work, holidays, and hunting season, we are not online as often. Until calving, we're stuck buying milk again. 🫠

Good afternoon my sweet followers. I've taken a little break from selling milk. We had a loss in the family, and my sweet Dolly is needing some antibiotics to get over an illness. I' so sorry I haven't been replying to messages, as it's been stressful for me to keep up right now. If you need raw milk, please contact Jessica Downs. 9 month old calves that don't want to wean get to wear jewelry. 9 month old calves wearing jewelry want to nurse and find a way around said jewelry. We may not have a lot of milk the next few days.

We aren't very active here on FB, but we are still here. We have recently attended a cheese making class instructed by one of our local farmers, Deborah, owner of Capers N Conn's. Tomorrow we will be visiting the craft market at Binning Farm. Hope to see you soon, and remember to support local farmers!

We're all caught up on orders, and we have some openings this week.

You can see nothing goes to waste with this guy. He loves milk more than his daily grain ration.

Please note, due to the increase of jar prices, we have to also increase our prices. Deposits on jars have increased to $3 instead of $2. Most of the jars we used over last year have not returned, and we cannot afford to keep replacing them at this rate. Initial half gallon jars will now be $6 (or $12/gallon). The milk is the same price, so if you bring your own half-gallon jars (remember the lids), you'll just have to pay $3/half gallon.

Mama Cat and Chip enjoy their daily dose of fresh milk.

There is always a possibility that something will go wrong with this side-gig. Our milk fridge was not cooling. It wasn't ever the milk machine as we had originally thought. It was the refrigerator not keeping the milk cool enough. Well, Friday we had a technician come fix it. We are back up and running (again). We have lost of milk available through the week.

We've been hand milking the last few days. We've been having trouble with the milk going bad after a couple of days, and we believe it boils down to the milking machine. We're still trying to figure it out, but if you had any problems, please let us know, and we'll make it right. I don't want anyone to feel they cannot let us know if there's a problem. Until we get the milking machine proven to work properly, we are going simple and efficient with the good old-fashioned (wo)man (and son) power.

The babies are also sporting new jewelry.

Dolly girl right after milking. She's getting her pre-mom bod back. Her baby June had to make a vet visit last week. She cut her foot some how, and her hoof needed some doctoring. She'll make it. The ride was entertaining when someone actually got a peak of who was riding in the back. Last trip in the cab, nothing but trailer rides from here on out.
