Our Heavenly Father, we pause at this time, mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed upon us. We ask, Lord, that you will be with us in the arena of life.

We as cowboys do not ask for special favors. We don't ask to draw a round the chute fighting horse, the steer that won't lay, or to never break the barrier.

We don't even ask for all daylight runs. We do ask Lord, that you will help us live our lives here on earth, in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride, to the country up there, where the grass grows lush, green and stirrup high, and the water runs cool, clear and deep, that you take us by the hand and say: Welcome home, your entry fees have been paid.

Sometimes things don’t go the way that we expect them to go. The BI was no exception. While there is some disappointment, we also know that God’s timing is not our timing. This outing didn’t go the way we hoped but we know just how blessed we are to own such an amazing horse and work with such an incredible team. We serve an awesome God and we trust fully in his plans.

This feels like a full circle moment. 2 years ago Brian and Mike were headed to Tulsa to the Breeders Invitational to meet up with Austin Johnson and drop Royal Legacy Boon (aka Julio) off to see what type of potential he had in the cutting ring. Here we are 2 years later and we are fixing to head to Tulsa to watch him compete at the Breeders Invitational. It’s a bit surreal but we are so blessed for the opportunity to watch our horse compete against the best in the industry.
