The Soul Behind the Bites
In 2025, I started the year by creating a vision board. It was something I kept saying I wanted to do, but never actually took the time to sit down and create.
Here you see me standing with Lisa, the President and CEO of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, who hosted an event called Vision and Vino—where Bronx entrepreneurs laid out their vision for the year and beyond over wine.
I remember this day clearly, and today I wanted to reflect on it because some of the things I placed on that board have already come true, and others I know will be checked off as I continue the journey. It’s amazing to see how far I’ve come, and it feels especially meaningful to reflect on this on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
This is your PSA: If you haven’t yet taken time to define what you want your year to look like, there is still time.
Whether it’s on a board, in a Google Doc, or on the back of a CVS receipt—be intentional. Reflect not only on the vision, but the strategy… even if that strategy begins with having more faith that it’s possible.
Don’t underestimate your vision.
And never underestimate what God can do with you, for you, and through you.
