When great food meets smooth sax, you know it’s going to be a GOOD night! 🎷🍸✨

Once again, The Nest Restaurant delivered! The cuisine was excellent, but tonight there was a little something extra in the air, the incredible sounds of GBSaxPlayer! 🎶🔥 Talk about setting the mood!

We started with the fresh Caprese, followed by the fabulous Shrimp Gambas and finger-licking Garlic & Parmesan Chicken Wings. Then came the Philly Cheesesteak, packed with flavor and definitely hitting the spot! 😋

And Talia Reinoso? She knows her way around an Old Fashioned and 🥃 Perfectly crafted and exactly how it should be. She is wonderful to her customers!❤️

Delicious food ✔️
Perfect cocktails ✔️
Smooth saxophone ✔️
Great company ✔️

The Nest was definitely HITTING ALL THE RIGHT NOTES tonight! 🎷🎶🍽️

4 Corners Tavern – ChampionsGate

We hadn’t been to 4 Corners Tavern in years. Located in the ChampionsGate shopping area, a friend recently raved about the food, so we decided it was time to give it another try.

Our server, Nick, was friendly, personable, and helped us with our menu selections.

I was excited to see the lunch special was a Chopped Cheese sandwich. Being from New York, I’ve really missed a good chopped cheese and have been craving one for quite some time. The sandwich came with a choice of side, and I chose the French fries.

While it was a decent sandwich, it just wasn’t an authentic New York chopped cheese. The lettuce wasn’t chopped but simply placed on top, and it was missing the chopped tomatoes and onions that help make the sandwich so special. It was served on a hoagie roll, but the it wasn’t smashed together the way I’m used to seeing in New York.

My husband ordered the Brisket Dipper, which also came with a choice of side. He selected the soup of the day, a beef and rice soup. The sandwich was served with an au jus dipping sauce and was good, but not memorable. In fact, we both agreed the brisket at our local Ovation Bistro & Bar is much more flavorful. The soup arrived as essentially a cup of shredded beef in broth, and the rice had accidentally been left out. The server quickly brought it over afterwards.

When I spotted bread pudding on the dessert menu, I couldn’t resist ordering one of my all-time favorite desserts. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. The bread pudding was very dense, covered with large dollops of whipped topping, and didn’t taste particularly fresh.

Overall, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food simply didn’t live up to the recommendation we had received. With more than a dozen restaurants nearby offering excellent dining options, this isn’t one we’d return to. If you’re dining in the ChampionsGate area, I’d recommend spending your money at one of the many better choices nearby. 4Corners Tavern

Great find in North Carolina!, The Angus Barn was a truly special dining experience, offering a rustic yet elegant atmosphere, exceptional service from Tanner, and outstanding steakhouse cuisine.

We immediately became addicted to the house-made chips served with two incredible cheese dips—one sharp cheddar and the other a rich blue cheese. They were absolutely irresistible!

The only disappointment of the evening was the French onion soup, which was a bit thin and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting.

The filet mignons were cooked to perfection and served with a creamy Béarnaise sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My perfectly crafted Old Fashioned was the ideal pairing and complemented the meal beautifully.

Although the dessert tray was filled with tempting, decadent creations, we were simply too full! Instead, we enjoyed a scoop of delicious locally made vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, produced by a nearby college, along with a warm Bailey’s coffee to finish the evening.

Before leaving, be sure to stop by their charming gift shop, where you’ll find many of the homemade specialties served in the restaurant, including the famous chips and cheese spreads. You can also relax with a cocktail on the expansive outdoor wooden deck overlooking a beautiful koi pond, surrounded by antique wooden horses that add to the unique atmosphere.

Angus Barn is far more than just a great steakhouse—it is a memorable dining destination and an experience you’ll be talking about long after the meal is over.

Looking for authentic Irish pub vibes in North Carolina? Trali Irish Pub absolutely delivers! 🍀

I had to order the Shepherd’s Pie, and it did not disappoint. Rich, slow-cooked beef stew topped with a beautifully swirled layer of creamy mashed potatoes—it was the ultimate comfort food.

To pair with it, I enjoyed “The First Squeeze,” a refreshing wheat beer from a local North Carolina brewery that complemented the meal perfectly.

I planned to skip dessert…but then I spotted the Baileys Cheesecake on the menu. Resistance was futile, and I’m so glad I gave in! It was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.

With its warm, authentic Irish atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, Trali Irish Pub is definitely worth a visit. Sláinte! 🍻
