Today’s version of life on a farm is very different than 50 years ago. The 60th anniversary of the Hunt Country Stable Tour gave visitors a behind-the-scenes look at equestrian Virginia and a peek at the grandeur of some of the finest equestrian facilities in the world.
Pictured are farms featured on the tour including Gum Tree Farm, Chestnut Run Farm Eventing, St. Bride's Farm and Orange Hill Farm, LLC.

From Boxe - Realtor, Licensed in Virginia:
On this spiritual day of Easter weekend, I would like to direct your attention to a unique fundraiser which will provide financial support for Trinity Episcopal Church and the community in Upperville, Virginia. On Memorial Day weekend in Loudoun County, most families finalize plans to share their favorite entrees by hosting meticulously well planned Memorial Day parties with family and close friends or jump-start Summer vacation plans to visit a nearby destination. I would like to share how I plan to spend a day with my family this upcoming Memorial Day weekend visiting the farms on The Hunt Country Stable Tour. The Hunt Country Stable Tour, formerly known as “The Hunt Country Farm-Estate Tour ”, was established by George and Kitty Slater (their daughter Anne can be seen in the video), members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville including Mr. Paul Mellon and his wife Rachel “Bunny” Mellon. The Hunt Country Stable Tour is now celebrating its 60th Year Anniversary featuring the farms within Loudoun County with the sole purpose of raising funds for Trinity Episcopal Church, the Upperville community and to extend support to outreach programs, natural disasters nationally and abroad.
If you have not finalized your Memorial Day Weekend plans to date, I highly recommend visiting The Hunt Country Stable Tour. Just in case you are eager to see more about this historic event, please take a moment to watch as I visit with Mr. Gray and Anne Coyner (Trinity Episcopal), Mary Ann Ghadban (Owner of Chestnut Run Farm Eventing), and Kat Gemmer (Hunt Country Stable Tour Chair), all while giving a “sneak peak" of Mary Ann's Chestnut Run Farm.
If you visited a farm during The Hunt Country Stable Tour over the recent years, please provide a comment for the Hunt Country Life audience to share your memories. I look forward to seeing you on Memorial Day Weekend to hear in person what you think about the 60th year celebration next month!
Special thanks to: Trinity Episcopal Church, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur "Gray" Coyner, Mrs. Mary Ann Ghadban-Owner of Chestnut Run Farm, Mrs. Kat Gemmer- Chair (The Hunt Country Stable Tour) and last but not least Alimond Photography for creating a compelling video to share this historic event.
