Bring the young ones!

We know that for many farmers, food business owners, and makers across the grainshed, a huge barrier to attending a conference is childcare.

That’s why we’re excited to offer a Children’s Program at the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Grain Fair & Conference, designed specifically with working parents in mind.

This supervised kids’ activity area will run alongside conference programming and is designed for elementary-aged children (ages 6–12), with activities that can flex for younger or older kids within that range.

Kids can expect hands-on, educational, and fun programming rooted in grains, farming, and food systems, including:

• Interactive games
• Creative projects and Indigenous crafts
• Guided learning experiences

Activities may vary based on group size, ages, and time, but the goal stays the same: creating a welcoming space where kids can learn and explore while parents fully participate in the conference experience.
