TRIP SUMMARY
Experience life to the full on a real working ranch in the American Rocky Mountain West. During this unique stay, you will bond with a horse that is matched to your experience and abilities, and ride through incredible scenery and wide-open spaces straight out of the big screen. You will also learn to be a real ranch hand with other participants - fix fences, pitch hay, gather cows, wrangle horses and be part of life on a ranch where every day is an adventure. There will be time to relax around the campfire, enjoy home-cooked meals in a spacious Western dining room, view wildlife, and explore gorgeous country. HorseWorks' focus is on horses and riding. With over thirty saddle horses, brood mares and colts in the string, participants on these Wyoming horseback vacations are immersed in horsemanship and ranch activities from morning till night. Bond with one horse, or ride horses of many breeds and learn from each one. Riders are matched to horses appropriate to their riding abilities, so no experience is necessary and everyone has opportunities to try their hand at team penning the cattle, barrel racing and other horseback games between rides. Ground work and natural horsemanship sessions are scheduled during down time for those interested in training. Riders of all levels build confidence and skill around horses.
