Today was a very hard day...for us as a family but also for us as a business. We celebrated the life of Lee Bonn. He has been a staple for us as a business since the beginning. He started out as a business man who we would call with questions and then it grew to so much more than that...throughout the years we realized we could truly trust him. He would always answer the phone, he always had an answer...and if he didn't have the answer right away, he would find it and call right back. Few more years down the road he became a friend, always lending a helping hand and never expecting anything in return and within the last 3-4 years he was family. Would stay with us at our home while helping us out on jobs, stay in Minnewaukan at my parent's to help with jobs around there and stayed in Langdon for weeks on end making sure PGS had the help they needed to succeed. We grew to love him and so did our kids. We went on a camping trip together where we were all able to meet his family and they could meet us...I don't know if he was more excited that his family liked us or that we liked his family.
When we got the news of his passing we were devastated. I thought "what are we going to do?" But then I realized, Lee has taught us SO much and we have been so fortunate to have him by our side. Adam and Randy probably know more than almost all and anybody out there BECAUSE of Lee and for that we will be forever grateful.
I will miss his visits and staying at our house...and his swims with the kids and our early morning coffees together before anyone else is awake....I will miss his constant updates on his entire family: who he was SO proud of....he was a wealth of knowledge on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I will just miss his presence and the comfort in knowing he was always there to help the guys out when they needed it...we grew to love him dearly. All of us.
To his family: we are so grateful to have gotten to know you. I look forward to our annual camping trip and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better because that is what Lee would want.
To Lee: thank you for the knowledge and confidence you have given Randy and Adam and our business. The help you have given us throughout the years is immeasurable and we can't thank you enough. I can only imagine all of the information you will have for us when we see you again, the conversation will be never-ending. What a legacy you have left and a void we have to somehow fill.
Taken too soon and certainly too sudden.
Forever in our thoughts and with every work-day in our minds...asking ourselves "WWLD" (what would Lee do).
Until we meet again...your PGS crew,
Adam, Abbey, Randy and Jodiā”
