Nestled in the coastal town of Thomaston, Maine our family farm can be found overlooking the Weskeag Marsh and Waldo Tyler Wildlife Management Area. We have a commitment to our customers and to the land to make a sustainable farm; we have been farming this land for 30+ years. We are always evolving, finding this to be the nature of a small family farm. We do what it takes to work the land, grow qu
ality produce and keep our home. Farming certainly has its challenges but it brings with it a deep commitment to the land and an appreciation for things that are greater than ourselves. We have introduced no-till vegetable farming as a way to help preserve our precious soil. It is an intensive way to grow some of our vegetables. In order to help you enjoy an entire meal grown on the farm we also raise broiler chickens, available as whole or parts and we have a flock of laying hens to provide fresh eggs. You can leave our farm stand with a complete meal! We run a CSA program with many options. Please ask either Georgene or Larry about the many options that might work best for you. One of our highlights here is our herd of alpacas! Inside our shop you’ll find lots of fine alpaca apparel: socks, mittens, scarves, hats, sweaters and yarn. In 2020 we introduced, Sunny’s Scoops, an ice cream truck named after one of our alpacas. Situated right here on the farm serving Gifford’s ice cream, a Maine made treat. If you have never been, haven’t been in a while, or are one of our regulars, please stop by. Take a look, visit. How often do you get to buy local and talk to the farmers when you buy your product? We look forward to seeing you soon, and remember “It’s definitely worth the trip!”
