Some stories stay with you long after you drive away.

Today I delivered another A New Dawn bouquet.

I won’t share her story because it isn’t mine to tell. But as she opened the door, all I could say was, “I’m so sorry.” In moments like that, there aren’t words big enough. I truly wanted to hug her.

We both carry grief in our hearts and this act of kindness helps me with my grief. It helps lessen the pain while remembering and honoring my sister.

That’s why these bouquets exist.

Not to fix what can’t be fixed.
Not to take away grief.
Just to let someone know they aren’t carrying it alone.

Be kind to one another. You never know what someone is carrying. 🤍

Today, another A New Dawn bouquet found its way to someone who has been carrying more than most of us can imagine.

These bouquets are given anonymously through nominations from our community, reminding someone that they are seen, remembered, and loved.

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust me with these stories and these moments. Every bouquet is made with so much care. 🤍 If you would like to nominate someone, visit my website. Link in bio.

The first of many kindness bouquets headed out this season. 🤍

After sharing my nomination form, I received stories that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

I read about unimaginable loss, heartbreaking grief, serious illness, and women quietly carrying burdens most of us will never see. More than once, I found myself in tears.

Today, the first A New Dawn bouquet is on its way to one of those incredible women. I know flowers can’t take away pain, but I hope they can offer a small reminder that someone sees them, cares about them, and is thinking of them.

This is why I started A New Dawn.

If you know someone who could use a little light during a difficult season, I’d be honored to hear their story. 💗

Even in the hardest seasons, a new dawn is always coming.

Today I made a practice bouquet for something very close to my heart. 🤍

“A New Dawn” is a kindness initiative created in memory of my sister, Dawn.

Throughout the season, bouquets will be gifted to individuals who could use a little encouragement, hope, or reminder that they are loved and thought of.

The first A New Dawn bouquet will be delivered this weekend, and I can’t wait to share this small act of kindness with someone special.

Even in the hardest seasons, a new dawn is always coming. 🌿

If you know someone who could use a little sunshine, nominations are always welcome through my website.

🌿A little glimpse of what’s blooming in the garden this week.

The anemones are still putting on a show, and I’m hoping to have a small selection of bouquets and fresh cut herbs available this weekend. 🤞

I’m still waiting on my new farm stand to be finished, but I may set up a simple table while we wait.

Anyone else a huge fan of anemones?!

🌸June in the Garden🌸

The garden has officially hit its stride. After months of planning, seed starting and waiting, the beds are filling in fast and beginning to look like the cutting garden I’ve dreamed about.

One of the things I’m most excited about this season is our new flower stand. A talented friend is building it for us, and I can’t wait to see it come to life. Knowing that bouquets will soon be finding their way into the hands of neighbors and visitors makes all the hard work feel worthwhile.

More than 300 dahlias are now planted and growing strong. If all goes well, they’ll begin putting on a show in August, filling bouquets with the colors and textures that made me fall in love with growing flowers in the first place.

This year I’m also trying something new: roses. As a first-time rose grower, I’ve spent plenty of time researching, planting, and learning as I go. I’m excited to see how they settle into the garden and hopefully become a beautiful addition to future bouquets.

We’re hoping to open the stand for the season in July, featuring zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, herbs, lavender, and whatever else decides to bloom along the way. Then, as summer unfolds, the dahlias will take center stage and the stand will fill up!

If you have a bridal shower, baby shower, small gathering, or special event coming up this summer, I’d love to be considered. Because Petal by Petal is a small-scale garden, I can only take on a limited number of custom orders each season.

For now, it’s a season of watering, weeding, and watching everything grow. Every day brings something new, and I couldn’t be more
grateful to share the journey with all of you.

In my wildest dreams, I never imagined I’d be growing armfuls of my favorite flowers right outside my door. While my stand won’t be open for a while yet, I might start posting some bouquets for sale. Let me know if you are interested! If you have peonies at home, you know they smell AMAZING! Nothing can compare 💕
