Well, It has been awhile since my last post from Rocky Point Ranch Montana. The weather has just started to warm and the snow is melting. This may mean we will have a lot of water and possible flooding. I expect Glacier Park will be late opening the " Going to the Sun highway." Guessing sometime in July the snow will be cleared from the road. Had some damage from the wind to our road entry and sign. Also bought last year another toy for my rust collection. A 1920's horse drawn grader. We will officially open for business May 15th and expect another busy season at the B&B.

We have been Busy-Busy-Busy , with Customers, Cattle and just making the place more attractive. It all started in May and has not stopped. Add the extreme temperatures that everyone has experienced and we are ready for Fall to start tomorrow. Now we have Lightening fires that makes the sky seem like Los Angeles smog. Praying for rain to clean it all up and make it all normal again. On the positive side we are having more Weddings and reunions this year. Americans getting back to living their lives. To make myself happy I have been going to several auctions looking for" rust" and farm equipment. Can't believe people paying more than retail for used equipment but they did. I managed to buy some rust for my collection: Nice mower, a beautiful plow and a 1920's Fordson Tractor. Just got the tractor into place near the river:

Just last week Ethyl had a baby boy (unnamed). This week Lucy decided it was her turn. Another boy, white faced and two black eyes. Quickly named Bandit. Still waiting on Big Red, hoping its a girl.

Well it has been awhile since last post. To bring people up to speed, here is the latest. The calendar pages keep falling off and we see that it is time to start thinking about going back to the ranch. Got word that ice has left the river but still remains along the shoreline. Check out the boat ramp. Our resident "caretaker" Dave, emailed some photos of the first calf of the year. He choose to birth in the wee hours of the evening....yes, he, a black Angus cross. Two more to come by April.
The end of April will see us leave our warm home in Arizona. Sorry to leave but happy to go home to Montana.

Have been busy getting the ranch ready for winter. Have punned everything in sight, major job. The snow has been coming and going. Had as much as 18 inches to zero today. Temperature is up in the 40s. Must get the dock out of the river while it is nice. It has been a weird year for everyone. Neighbor's daughter, Jennifer, took a photo of Elk on the move, headed towards the ranch.

Please share with all your contacts

Johns Hopkins University, sent this excellent summary to avoid contagion

share it with you because it is very clear:

* The virus is not a living organism, but a protein molecule (DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular, nasal or buccal mucosa, changes their genetic code. (mutation) and convert them into aggressor and multiplier cells.

* Since the virus is not a living organism but a protein molecule, it is not killed, but decays on its own. The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.

* The virus is very fragile; the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat. That is why any soap or detergent is the best remedy, because the foam CUTS the FAT (that is why you have to rub so much: for 20 seconds or more, to make a lot of foam). By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down on its own.

* HEAT melts fat; this is why it is so good to use water above 25 degrees Celsius for washing hands, clothes and everything. In addition, hot water makes more foam and that makes it even more useful.

* Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ANY FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.

* Any mix with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaks it down from the inside.

* Oxygenated water helps long after soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein, but you have to use it pure and it hurts your skin.

* NO BACTERICIDE SERVES. The virus is not a living organism like bacteria; they cannot kill what is not alive with anthobiotics, but quickly disintegrate its structure with everything said.

* NEVER shake used or unused clothing, sheets or cloth. While it is glued to a porous surface, it is very inert and disintegrates only between 3 hours (fabric and porous), 4 hours (copper, because it is naturally antiseptic; and wood, be
cause it removes all the moisture and does not let it peel off and disintegrates). ), 24 hours (cardboard), 42 hours (metal) and 72 hours (plastic). But if you shake it or use a feather duster, the virus molecules float in the air for up to 3 hours, and can lodge in your nose.

* The virus molecules remain very stable in external cold, or artificial as air conditioners in houses and cars. They also need moisture to stay stable, and especially darkness. Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade it faster.

* UV LIGHT on any object that may contain it breaks down the virus protein. For example, to disinfect and reuse a mask is perfect. Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin, eventually causing wrinkles and skin cancer.

* The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.

* Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.

* NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, serve. The strongest vodka is 40% alcohol, and you need 65%.

* LISTERINE IF IT SERVES! It is 65% alcohol.

* The more confined the space, the more concentration of the virus there can be. The more open or naturally ventilated, the less.

* This is super said, but you have to wash your hands before and after touching mucosa, food, locks, k***s, switches, remote control, cell phone, watches, computers, desks, TV, etc. And when using the bathroom.

* You have to HUMIDIFY HANDS DRY from so much washing them, because the molecules can hide in the micro cracks. The thicker the moisturizer, the better. * Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.

This is to inform us all that the pH for corona virus varies from 5.5 to 8.5.

RESEARCH: JOURNAL OF VIROLOGY, APRIL 1991, PAGE 1916

All we need to do, to beat corona virus, we need to take more of an alkaline foods that are above the above pH level of the Virus.

Some of which are:

Lemon - 9.9pH

Lime - 8.2pH

Avocado - 15.6pH

Garlic - 13.2pH

Mango - 8.7pH

Tangerine - 8.5pH

Pineapple - 12.7pH

Dandelion - 22.7pH

Orange - 9.2pH

How do you know you have coronavirus?

1. Itching in the throat,
2. Dry throat,
3. Dry cough.

So where you notice these three things quickly take warm water and drink.

Do not keep this information to yourself only. Pass it to all your family and friends. God bless you.

Montana quarantine: Day 6 of mandatory 14 days of stay at home for returning and for travelers stopping in Montana. At 6 am this morning got another visit from a heard of Elk crossing the property. They were headed for the river for a morning swim over to some islands. After watching them for over 30 minutes, looking for Bulls, discovered that the large herd was mainly cow Elk with a couple of young bulls with spike horns.Normally when we are gone for the winter the Elk and Deer stay on the property full time. No curfew for the wildlife.

We are finally leaving Montana to join our friends in Surprise Arizona. Stayed longer then we wanted but Patti did harvest her Big Horn sheep and a whitetail buck. I filled my Elk tag and a whitetail buck. So the Covered wagon is packed and the horses are ready to head out in the morning. Sad to go but happy to see the sun again.

It has been awhile since we left Arizona for Montana. We saw all the family in California and arrived at the Ranch 5 days later. The grass and weeds were having a contest, no winner declared. Before I could stop the Honda, Patti was out of the car pulling weeds and planting her garden. The weather was fantastic , no rain, blue skies and 75 degrees. It wasn't the May in Montana I expected. The river was low, the water was clear and the bass were on the bite. Two days later we were in Dean's boat fishing, relaxing and catching a lot of fish. Good thing because two days later it turned ugly, rain and wind. Snow was melting fast of the mountains, the river rose 3 feet and muddy. But Patti was happy because she got to go fishing and caught a big bass. Rain has finally left and time to clean up the mess.

As we rip off the pages of our Arizona Calendar, it is clear our time here is coming to an end. Just 2 plus weeks we load up the covered wagon and head back to Montana. Sad to leave but happy to see our home at Rocky Point Ranch. Not sure what the winter has done to the Ranch but mother nature always has a surprise. Last year it was a lot of water every where. What ever it maybe we will over come with a smile, just a joy to be home, Thompson Falls, Montana.

Spending the winter in Arizona I get questions on how's the weather at the Ranch in Montana? Well most winters it's not so bad, the snows comes and goes. Well 2019 started normal and now it is like it was when I was growing up in Butte, MT. A lot of snow and cold. Propane was delivered twice in the month of February and we have the furnace set at 50 degrees. Our neighbor Bonnie Haun sent some recent shots between storms of Rocky Point Ranch. Bear in mind, others in Montana have it much worse. We are considered to be in the banana belt of Montana.
