I can’t remember who posted it or even which chicken group I saw it in 🐔😂, but THANK YOU to whoever recommended the Vanillaroma Little Tree air fresheners from Amazon! I hung some in my coop today and just went out to gather eggs... not a single fly or gnat in sight! 🙌✨ Plus, the coop smells AMAZING 🌸🥚

I even hung one over my kitchen sink where fruit flies usually love hanging around dirty dishes 🍽️😅... and tonight? Not one fruit fly either! 🤯👏

Exactly how it begins. 12 years ago we hatched our first chicks and well now..... instead of working as a farm hand elsewhere I now get to do the same exact work at home with the same species of animals just dont get paid to do it anymore and now have to pay to feed/ care for them all....
Well well, hmmmmm isn't it the Consequences of my own decisions lol 🙃 😅 😆 🙂

Boys are hard at work! Had a delay with a busted hydraulic line, but hubby replaced it before the parts store closed for the holiday weekend thank god.Boys are now off to strip the enclosure of all the old buildup winter hay that some picky livestock deemed unworthy to eat 😆 I'm just thankful I dont need to shovel & wheelbarrow thousands of pounds of it 😀 Next Brad's going to dig out a area to set up the Emus stock stank and koi ponds as they are obsessed with the water. Plan is to have ponds flowing into one another and then adding a small fountain as they love the hose spray. Jack& Diane will spend hours submerged in water on hot days. Found that out when they took over a water station for bathing purposes only 😆 So of course we need to give them a upgrade this spring!

After that's done were starting on building other enclosures on the other side of property so we can have controlled breeding this fall as well as possibly adding some pigs.
