Congratulations to my daughter for winning 1st Place Large Fowl chickens Jr class and Reserve Champion over all Poultry at the Franklin County 4-H and Jr fair with a pair of Rhode Island Red LF. Grand Champion went to a beautiful pair of geese.
Also congrats to Annah Kopacz who won 1st Place Large Fowl chickens sr class with a pair of Lavender Orphington I bred and hatched last year and 1st place Bantam Sr Class with her Silkies.

We had our second litter of piglets last night. Went from 7 pigs to 17 in a few days.

Update. We recently recertified our flock and are one of only 6 Illinois backyard breeders certified AI clean. We are pausing hatching season until fall, out of stock of started pullets and point of lay pullets but still have around 100 juvenile pullets off heat.

Reminder: You can find us on Wed. mornings at the Marion Farmers Market but all farm visits are by appointment only.

We will be gearing down June 15th on our hatching eggs season till the fall and getting ready to shift to the farmers market season. We will be at the Wednesday farmers market in Marion which kicks off May 13th. We will have hatching eggs, eating eggs and produce.
