Our proximity to Lake Michigan provides an ideal growing location with glacier rich soil, moderate temperatures, daytime breezes, cool evenings in summer and cold winters with lake effect snow. Michigan is at the forefront of the craft brew industry and is quickly becoming a beer focused state. Hops are a vital ingredient in beer production and because of the combination of hops shortages, growing

number of craft breweries and their desire for locally sourced hops there has never been a better time to farm hops in Michigan. As the craft brew industry continues to mature and grow, the demand for locally sourced hops grows with it.
