POV: We decided peace and quiet was overrated… so we started incubating guineafowl eggs 🥚🐣😂

80 guineafowl eggs officially loaded in the incubator! 🥚🔥🐣

Now we wait… and pray these little chaos birds hatch strong 😂
The countdown to hatch day begins!

If you thought we disappeared…don’t worry, the chickens are still judging us daily 🐔😂

This page has been quiet for a while, but we’re back and planning to post more often. We’ll have fresh eggs, chickens and bantams available from time to time, and plenty of farm life content.

The incubator is about to get started back up too, so Guinea chicks and should be hatching soon! 🐣

Since it’s winter let’s talk wood ash when it comes to chickens.

Wood ash is an amazing source to use with chickens!

They love to bathe in the ash which helps prevent mites and helps with internal parasites.

It also helps deodorize your chicken coop. As it’ll suck in the moisture.

Dries out fly larva= less flies.

Increases their calcium intake if you add a little to their feed!

Adds nutrients to the soil (try mixing into your garden as well throughout winter)

Cost effective and self sustainable way to improve both your homestead and flock.
