Almost Forever Dairy

Almost Forever Dairy We own and operate a dairy goat farm in Wisconsin. Our herd consists of registered and recorded grade alpine, saanen and lamanchas. Thank for visiting our page!

Our top priority is focused on animal health. All animals are fed and milked 3 times a day. This helps us monitor animals closer and has improved udder health and comfort. Our herd is tested negative for CAE, Johnes and also CL free. The last few years we have been on official DHIA tests and have a rolling herd average of 3680 lbs. DHIA has been a wonderful management tool to help us improve our herd. If you have any questions or would like more information dont hesitate to send a message. xoxo

The goats have been home a yr already! We are so grateful my cousin Brett and his wife Michelle for taking our goats in a seconds notice! Along with alot of the other family members who spent countless hours loading and unloading them into a whole new parlor for milking.
First photo is on 2x a day first day back home. Other photos are current and a tank average of 11.4lbs on 3x a day! Can't believe how far we've come in the last yr and half. Iv wanted to give up so many times, so glad we kept going!

This last yr has been a tough one but we pressed on. That being said we are so tickled with the performance of our does this summer! We have some pretty remarkable milking does in our herd!!

Pictured first is Kate she has been milking 902 days off her first lactation. This summer she milked 18lbs, *21lbs, 8.8lbs (it was hot), 15.8lbs and 18.9lbs!! She has only one test under 10lbs. This lovely girl just blows our minds!! She is sweet as pie too

Pictured second are sisters out of Fishface who peaked out at 24.4lbs last yr. K7 (doe on right) is following in her dams foot steps she peaked out at 24.3lbs, 15.4lbs, 12.8, and 20.8lbs this summer!

The last 3 pictures are pregnant does that are due in November they are still milking 9lbs and 10lbs. We will start drying them up tomorrow.

As a group our does are still working hard this summer our last dhia was 12.2 lbs with average 463 days in milk.

The goaties got a new fan yesterday! They were settled in and enjoying it within an hour after it was running. Highly recommend, it's quiet and comfortable in the barn.

Bucks were busy today... 20 does bred for fall. Barn is quite pungent today. Humidity really amplifies the buck smell🤧😵‍💫 lol

This special doe (born the day of the fire) freshened tonight. I was sitting in the pen waiting for her to give birth and she laid down right next to me and pushed out a little buck kid.
Her dam (3rd pict) was severely burned in the barn fire. She had to be euthanized and a c-section was preformed by the vet. That day was so horrific and this doe was our little miracle.
