If you aren't following our sweet friend then you are missing out!! We love her & her great recipes.❤️❤️
I had a conversation the other day about my hair. 🤣I have always been a blonde. After having the girls, my blonde got a little dirty and I always had a little help brightening it up. About 3 years ago, I decided I was done.
Fortunately, I still have enough blonde to hide the old grey monsters growing in. But my words the other day were, "Every time I wash it, more show up!" And that is true. Today, it looks more grey than blonde.
I am ok with that.
It took me a long time to be good with who I am. I've always been a people pleaser and worried about petty little things like what people thought of me.
About the same time I quit hair color, I quit that too. I am still the person who sees the best in others even when they try to hide it. Unfortunately, I can also see the worst coming from 5 miles away. I have a little too much discernment and often get frustrated when folks don't see the same falsehoods that I do. Often, it eventually comes around.
I say that to you so that you will know this. What you see is what you get. When I am having a hard time, you know it. When I am grieving I don't hide it. When I drop something or mess up a recipe, I don't cut it out of my videos. I am for you, who I am always. And you will never have to wonder.
I don't spend all of my time on social media doing videos because what I have to share are recipes that I hope you will take and make your own.
I don't want you to always see me in MY kitchen. I want to supply you with a way for YOU to enjoy being in yours. The Buttered Home has always been about the warm hug feelings that good food shared with the ones you love bring. Not so much me.
Isn't that why you are here?
My motives will always be feeding you with recipes, love and laughter. While I know you all love seeing my videos, I encourage you to interact just as strongly with the recipe posts I share. After all, that is why I am here!
xoxo,
Brooke
