Our 2025 season has officially come to a close, and we are so very grateful for another wonderful fall!

It takes a village to put on a pumpkin patch and frankly we have the best. Thank you to all of our family, friends and farm neighbors for all of your help and support. We simply could not do this without you.

And thank you to our wonderful customers. You make the fall season so fun, and we look forward to making new memories with you next year. Thank you as well for your continued generosity. We are delighted to say the Corn Maze for a Cause raised $7,500 for the Maryland FFA Association, commfndfredco, GreenSpring Foundation and Donna Geiman.

We know this may seem like a trick, but today is our last day of the season! 🎃

As a reminder, we will be open for shortened hours from 10-4pm in order to take our crew Trick-or-Treating. And due to yesterday’s rain, no hayrides today.

‼️Closed Thursday, October 30th‼️

Today we will be closed for weather. We got a lot of rain overnight with the potential for more to come today. Everything is very wet and soggy at the farm.

If you still need a few more pumpkins you can catch us tomorrow. We will be open Friday, October 31st for shortened hours from 10-4pm. Please note due to the field conditions, we will not be running our Friday hayrides.

This year we grew two new varieties, Spicy Mocha (yellow brown) and Black Bear (mini and dark green, almost black).

Tuesday, October 28th we are open for extended hours. We will be open from 10-6pm with hayrides running 🚜

Come play in the corn table, walk through the maze or pick some pumpkins to decorate. Mums and Indian Corn are on sale as well!

Cooking with Brookfield 👩‍🍳

Have you tried the Delicata squash? Don’t sleep on this one. It is absolutely delicious and the best part is the skin is edible too (no time peeling)!

Stuffed Delicata Squash

3 Brookfield Delicata Squash
1 lb. Sausage
1/2 yellow onion diced
1/2 red pepper diced
Shredded cheese
Salt, pepper, other spices to taste.

Cut Delicata squashes in half and scoop out the insides. Rub insides with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Turn upside down and roast at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes until squash is tender and edges are brown.

In the meantime, brown sausage with onion and pepper. Once cooked, divide portions between Delicata halves. Top with cheese and return to oven to bake for another 10 minutes. Serve one Delicata half per person.

There are so many variations you could try with this- mushrooms, greens like spinach or Swiss Chard, stuffing, etc! Let us know how you experiment!

Work for next year’s pumpkin patch has already begun!

Earlier this week with the help of Calico Ag Services, we aerially seeded our rye cover crop. Brian was able to use his drone to seed the rye which was pretty wild to see!

Cover crops are important as they improve soil health, prevent erosion and suppress weeds. The rye crop will grow during the winter and spring, until we are ready to plant pumpkins in June 🎃

We think these are some of the cutest in the Patch 🥰 While these are an edible squash, it’s hard to turn them down as a decoration. They add an element of whimsy to any pumpkin display.

If your weekends are jam-packed or you are just looking for a quieter experience, this is a great time to come to the farm. Please note, we do not run hayrides Monday to Thursday.
