Because this is a picture that will irritate those who really hate Christmas decorations before Halloween, I do apologize. This was the only picture I had that could demonstrate the River Barn's potential for extreme Holiday decor.

I will schedule in a date to begin that process. You will be invited to participate as we start laying down the foundation for those decorations. I call it the slow slide in the direction of 'all out Santa Land', with greenery, pinecones and crafty/earthy stuff.

You'll be able to drop in for spiced c***r and join in. You can bring some bit of nature's bounty to contribute if you like. It's all about the fun!

A favorite spot to stop and watch the boats navigate the underpass.

🥳 The Depoe Bay Bridge is turning 100 years old in 2027!

Built in 1927 for approximately $55,000, this iconic concrete arch bridge has stood watch over our little harbor for nearly a century. And she’s getting some much-needed TLC before hitting that milestone!

ODOT is investing nearly $11 million in preservation work, including renewing the protective coating against saltwater corrosion, making concrete repairs, and repairing the bridge railings. Construction is scheduled to wrap up in December 2026, just in time for the bridge’s big 100th birthday year.

A century of coastal storms, salty air, fishing boats, and generations of Oregon Coast memories. Now that’s a piece of Depoe Bay history worth celebrating!

Julia hosted her workshop today, Tools for Trying Times, and it was a lovely and well attended event. We are looking forward to her next meeting in two weeks, Sunday Oct. 25th. 3-5 pm.
