This morning, we work 75 head of fall born bulls and 175 April and May born bulls and took them to grass. The April and May bulls will be in our December bull sale and the Fall bulls will be in our April bull sale next spring. We like to develop bulls slowly so they last for our customers.

We purchased this load of replacement heifers today from bull customer Hofland Ranch. We will breed and offer them as breds this fall.

Due to drought, long time customer Kingsbury/Earls has to sell his home raised steers and heifers that normally goes to grass. There should be 180 steers weighing 700 to 800 lbs and 50 heifers at 650 lbs. They will be selling Thursday, May 7 at Presho Livestock.

We are selling 2 loads of 9 weight steers and 2 loads of 759 to 850 lbs heifers tomorrow at Mobridge Livestock.

Yesterday we started off the spring with flushing a couple cows. We plan on flushing 4 cows multiple times this spring/summer. We hope to put in around 150 eggs this spring by flushing our best cows to our best bulls to multiply the best of the best in a larger group.

It’s sale week. Sale day is Wednesday, April 22 where we are offering 100 Red Angus bulls. 60 of these bull will be aged advantage and 40 will be yearling bulls. We are also selling 160 Red Angus commercial replacement heifers and one pick of the herd 2026 born heifer calf. The sale will be broadcast live on DV auction.
