So the update on the signs. A little background and then you can decide... 3 weeks ago someone moved the signs about the time the highway was striped. At that time I actually thought my husband did it when he mowed since we maintain most of the highway frontage in front of our property. I thought no big deal and left them where they were moved to at the time. Fast forward to last week when I posted my opinion on the "driveway repair" as you can see on our page. The following day the signs totally disappeared, other than one. So I stewed about it over the weekend then Monday called the State Highway Dept to see if they took them. If not I was going to file a report with the sheriff.
The girl that answered the phone told me right away that yes they had picked them up because the mowers might run them over. (We have mowed and maintained around them for the past 3 years) She said someone would come Tuesday (this morning) to bring them back and explain to me where they could be placed.
Waited all morning and finally a nice gentleman did show up. He's brought back 2 of the signs that were missing even though the main sign was broken and the stakes were all bent up. We had a conversation about the situation on the signs and the driveway issue. He pointed out where they were allowed..... Which is the exact spot they were moved to before, and the exact spot that they had been taken from!!!
So... I accept I'll have to clear more trees so that my signs can be seen and farther away from the road. The driveway issue is still a problem that they will not fix. They say they maintain from basically highway to tree line and that's why my signs can't be out there yet they are not responsible to fix the driveway on their maintained portion. Hmm!!!
P.S Still missing picked egg sign but y'all come on by we always have those!!! Lol
Anyways, don't complain or your stuff will disappear.
