Iowa State Fair 2024 was one for the books! 🔥

Open feeder calf show results:

•Reserve overall breeding heifer
•Fourth overall breeding heifer

The weather was cool but the heat was turned up with the calves we brought to the fair this year. We are so thankful for all the help, support and interest we have had in these calves so far. There is a lot of hard work that goes into it, yet it makes it so much more worthwhile when you have special days like this. Want to give a special thanks to everyone who has helped us out along the way. Logan Lafrenz, England Cattle, Kade Dugan, Ebersole Cattle, Anna Paulsrud, Jones family.

It is officially a tradition for us to bring feeder calves to the state fair. Every year we set higher goals to achieve. Proud to say we won a division and made final drive in the heifer show. Look for updates on these calves to sell this fall!

We are excited to announce a new bull sire to our herd at Shay Farms!

As displayed at the Oklahoma City’s Cattleman’s Congress and the Denver Stock Yards -
Century Headliner 89!!!

Whether you are in the show cattle or commercial cattle industry many know the impact the bull KR Casino has done for the livestock industry as a whole. With that being said KR Casino semen is very rare which makes the addition of the Casino son “Headliner” to our herd so special.

We would like to give a special thanks to Century Acres Angus for the opportunity to buy this bull! We couldn’t be more excited for the future progeny to come!
