It’s that time of year again! We’re processing our meat birds on Monday 7/13 and in the meantime I need to make some freezer room so I’ll be charging $5/lb for the chicken from last summer.
This is the lowest this price they will ever be! After factoring in the cost to buy them, their feed, and the materials needed for their coops, the price to sell them can’t come down any lower than that.
I know grocery store meat is cheaper, but you can’t get cleaner meat than raising them yourself. If you’d like to join us on butcher day to learn how, we’d be happy to give a tutorial 🍗

To go with my regular sandwich bread, cookies, eggs, and jams, I usually throw in a surprise each week. I’ve made donuts, biscuits, focaccia, french bread, and more. I’ve tried new things to see what customers like!

This Saturday I’ll going to have cinnamon rolls and more Cinnamon Toast Crunch (I think that ones a favorite). Stop by or make a request!

I’ve also got a couple of blossoming bakers that love trying new things.

Changed my name and logo! When I chose 'Homestead Home Goods' I pretty much had 60 seconds to come up with a name for my farmers market stand. Which was a surprise to me because I had never considered naming my stand anything, nor continue a stand beyond one summer. But to have a more direct name, I think it's time to change it up! I'll still sell the same things I usually do.
