Spring and summer are my FAVORITES!!!!!!!!!

Phillipians 4:8 whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Having little farms and goats and all the things is the fad thing to do. But it should not be entered into lightly. All the animals have to be taken care of no matter what. No matter what the weather or how you feel. There will also be sickness and death. Death that will be ugly and painful. Sickness and death that leaves you down in the hay agonizing over a dying animal. Having livestock is not just about playing farmer with cute animals, it is deeply emotional. It should be, these are lives. The Bible even says in Proverbs that a righteous man cares for his animals. These animals deserve our best. Today I feel like a total failure. I sit here in the hay as my goat just died. I don’t think I am cut out for this.

Love these Zenias, they’ve been blooming since at least August. These are out near the pasture at the backside of where we have our garden. The Monarchs are loving them too! I’m planting a lot more next year.

Commenting on our lack of eggs this morning, my husband said that he thinks our hens are now identifying as roosters.

One female Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees left from our last litter. She is just over 3 months old. Has been vet checked and up to date on vaccinations. She has a very sweet and calm demeanor. Very obedient. Already showing great guardian instincts. I’ve gotten a bit attached so I will be very picky about where she goes. She is a working dog, needs a home working with livestock. Raised with chickens, ducks, goats and a cow. Both parents on site and have been exceptional guardians. Message me for more info.
