ππOur very first farmers' market was a fantastic experience!ππ...
Hello, everyone! π
We did it! Our first farmers' market is under our belt. π₯
SoCo Farmers Market made our first market experience as a vendor a great one! On top of that, the weather was absolute perfection, and the turnout was far better than expected. The local support was amazing! β€οΈ
We put up our tent, table, chairs, and signs. Our signs were ordered from Atlas Printing Co in Somerset, PA.π We love how they turn out!
A few friends stopped by to see us as they enjoyed the market. We enjoyed meeting and talking with many of the local shoppers.
A local lady was feeling a little tired, so I offered her a chair to rest for a bit and chat. She loved our flowers, and bought a bud vase arrangement and a market tote bag! Then she came back later and visited for a few more minutes.
Another young lady picked up some flowers to give to her mom who is currently in rehab. As she looked over our floral selection, she mentioned that her mom loves blue. But, she wasn't sure what to choose, because her mom already had a lot of blue. I turned around to a box of extra bud vase arrangements and pulled out one filled with white and blue anemones and a few sprigs of flowering sage. She smiled and said that one was perfect! It feels so wonderful to play a small part in making someone smile who is working hard to get better.
There are many more of these stories we could share of the people we met, today. Some people simply passed through, and seeing them enjoying the experience of the market was a pleasure for us, as well. It was a joy, and we're looking forward to doing this again next Saturday. β€οΈ
Our Moonstone peonies were drawing attention from across the market with questions as to what kind of flowers they were and how beautiful they were! With their silky, softly blushed porcelain petals like slightly translucent crepe paper, they didn't even look real. We were asked about them over and over, again. Those were the last of the Moonstone peonies for this season, however, they will be back next year!
Our blue, pink, and double white anemones were a popular seller! The wildflowers mixed in went over well, too.
Our market deal for $5 off of any additional item with the purchase of a canvas market tote bag was well received! We will have that deal for the first 5 people to buy a tote bag again this coming weekend! π€©
Thank you again to Somerset and SoCo Farmers' Market for making us feel so welcomed! π«β€οΈ
See you all again next weekend!
