Muscadine Creek Dairy Goats

Muscadine Creek Dairy Goats We raise ADGA show Nubian dairy goats in central Alabama. We have had Nubians since 2019. Hello!! Herd health is a top priority for us.

I am Lacy Rae and I own Muscadine Creek Dairy Goats in central Alabama. Our animals are vaccinated against Clostridium Perfringens Types C & D, Tetanus, and Pasteurella for pneumonia. We give supplemental Copper boluses and BoSe injections for an extra dose of selenium. We test all animals yearly for CAE, Johnes and CL. I keep G6S normal goats only. We conduct monthly f***l exams and deworm when

necessary. We will also be incorporating Sericea Lespedeza into my goats pasture to assist with parasite management. Starting in 2022 all kids will be raised on a strict CAE prevention program. All kids will be hand raised from birth and bottle fed free choice pasteurized milk via lambar till weaned. The kids will be penned separately from the adults and given lots of individual attention. Calf Pro will be given for a Coccidia preventative.

4*Bar*E SR Pixie Dust

4 year old 4th Freshening

3 weeks fresh (she had a single buckling this year)
12hr fill

She is the sweetest girl and has the most buttery soft udder🥰
Though she definitely doesn't have the capacity that she had last year since she only had the one kid😆

Spring has officially been approved by the herd 🌿☀️

Nothing makes me happier than seeing happy goats back in the wooded lot, soaking up the sunshine and browsing through the trees for the first time this season.

This is what goat joy looks like.

Baby goats have officially arrived and kidding season is all finished here! 🐐🍼

4BarE SR Pixie Dust started us off last Sunday with a single buckling out of Blissberry She Loves U Yeah. Then one week ago today, on Monday, Blissberry U Were Trouble blessed us with two gorgeous doelings out of MCCreek Captain Hook. 💕

The two little doelings will be staying here with me, and I can’t wait to watch them grow. Names are still to be decided!

Unfortunately, the handsome little buckling will be looking for a new pasture because I simply can’t keep them all 😭 And Captain Hook will also be searching for a new home, as he is now related to most of my does. Bitter sweet, but part of breeding plans and moving forward. 💔

So thankful for healthy babies, healthy mamas, and a barn full of little voices. Spring on the farm is hard to beat. 🌿🐐

Ps. I only have candid pictures for now... these guys are on the move ALL the time😆

The barn is glowing and the moon is showing off tonight.

After the chaos of the day, this quiet moment is my reset. The herd is safe. The routine is done. The work is good.

Dairy goats have a way of teaching patience. You can’t rush growth. You can’t shortcut quality. You can only show up every day and do the right things consistently.

Tonight the herd is full-bellied, munching on alfalfa, and everyone is content. That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s careful breeding decisions. Balanced nutrition. Watching body condition. Cleaning. Checkups. And so much more.

Sometimes people see the cute babies and the pretty pictures — and yes, that part is magical. But what makes nights like this so peaceful is knowing the work behind the scenes is solid.

Healthy girls. Strong structure. Thoughtful management. Tons of patience and faith.

That’s the goal. Every single day. ✨

Ringo claimed the best sun spot.

Captain Hook is just here for the vibes.

Safe to say… everyone approved of today’s sunshine.
