Hey friends!

We just wrapped up fall break. Had some fun with the kids, spent the night at The Dillard House, hit all the estate/yard sales we came across, and put in a lot of hours in the soap factory.

🍁 Next weekend (October 24th & 25th) is the Toccoa Harvest Festival. We’ll be there peddling our goods! We’ve been working hard to bring out our best! Stop by and grab your favorite natural skincare product and check out our new stuff too!

🌱 We’re super excited about our new Comfrey Salve. We organically grew the comfrey here on our farm, infused it into olive oil and blended it with shea butter and beeswax to create a salve that is a considered by herbalists to be a reliever of muscle and joint pain. I hope you love it as much as we do!

Happy fall, friends! 🍁 I can feel it in the air…lower humidity and cooler mornings…and we are here for it!

It’s been busy since school started back…restocking retail partners, preparing for the holiday season , upcoming festivals and Shopping on the Farm. These last few months of the year are the most exciting for our small business.

🇺🇸 You all really showed up for our Labor Day sale! We processed over 100 orders! Thank you!

The school year is off to a great start for the kids. Delaney and Dylan recently spent a week exploring Yellowstone National Park on a school field trip. Fern wrapped up her first season of cross country last week. She worked so hard and was consistently the third-fastest little gal on her team.💚

☀️ We’re back with a Summer Recap:

At the forefront of our summer recap is a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers for allowing us to step away from social media for a couple of months and just soak up summer time with our kids. Y’all still showed up, like always, filled our inbox with orders and supported our small business better than we could have ever imagined. Thank you, friends. We are so grateful.

We had a fun, pretty low key summer. The kids headed back to school last week and it’s always so bittersweet. I love it when they’re all home but I also appreciate the route that comes when school starts back.

We’re now trying to embrace the reality of My Delaney starting her senior year with the phrase “leaving for college” starting to rumble in mind 🥹. She’s worked so hard in school and outside of school that the world is at her fingertips. I’m excited to see where the next chapter takes her.

We also spent countless hours wandering around cemeteries all over the state…Dylan volunteered his time this summer photographing and uploading pictures of over 1,000 headstones for findagrave.com, to help connect family members who are unable to visit with their relatives' final resting places. This service project stems from Dylan’s passion for history and genealogy.

Fern, The Baby, has read more books this summer than I have collectively read in the last five years. It’s her favorite pastime…that and running, to prepare for this year’s cross country season.

Business wise…I’ll be showing up here semi-regularly again now that school has started back.

🏖️ Today we returned home from our annual vacation to Tybee Island.

For 18 years, my parents have taken us to Tybee, along with both of my brothers and their families. They rent a big house and a deluxe golf cart to zip around in, fill the house with everyone’s favorite snacks, and take care of all the small details like extra trash bags, beach towels and even clips to close bags of chips. They create the kind of space where everything is taken care of, so we can simply be together, reconnect, and build memories that stay with us long after the week is over.

I know the term “golden years” refers to retirement age, and while we’re still some years away from that, I think the term applies to this current stage of my life…right in the middle of my kids and my parents. My kids are doing so well in life, growing, healthy and happy…and my parents are, too. What a gift it is that both generations are doing well. Everyone is healthy, present, and able to enjoy this time fully. It doesn’t really get much more “golden” than that…and I am so thankful.🥹💛

Life lately…

☀️ Summer break is finally here and, let me tell you, we have hit the ground running…cleaning barns, shaving dogs, filling orders, and caring for a wild herd of growing baby goats! We haven’t even planted our garden, but thanks to a long growing season here, we still have time.

✂️ All the dogs got their annual shave-down this weekend. Everyone LOVES grooming day…well except for the groomers (me & Delaney🥴) but we finished 3 Pyrenees and 1 Nolan in just 4 hours. That’s a new record for us!

🐐 We have more baby goats than you can shake a stick at…jumping, running, and playing all over the barn. They’ll start heading off to their new homes in a couple of weeks…and while I love all those crazy babies, the calm of a barn with just our OG girls will be a welcomed sight!

🗓️ And finally…we’ve worked our kids to death this past week so we’re taking a little break to unplug and have some fun, starting Friday. If you need something, go ahead and place an order in the next day or two. After that, orders will be processed during the week of 6/15.

🍳 I almost forgot, we do have 4 dozen eggs available this week. $5/dozen. Let me know if you need any. Driveway pick up from our farm or pick up from Richard at the Eastanollee Cannery.
