Wow. Big Trip 1.0 in the books. The pints are made and the final deliveries are tomorrow. First of all, let me say THANK YOU to everyone who purchased because this trip was for you. You guys have watched me grow my career and my knowledge and love of ice cream and flavor and supported me every step of the way, even going as far as ordering 7.25 AVERAGE PINTS PER PERSON even though none of you have EVER EVEN TRIED MY ICE CREAM BEFORE. What that says to me is I’m surrounded by a whole lot of love and a whole lot of faith. I spent 30 hours making 138 pints of ice cream in less than a week to bring this joy to you - to put that into perspective, that’s 17.25 gallons, or 7.5 buckets of ice cream from Jeni’s in two plucky little home ice cream machines. I am flattered, I am in disbelief, and I’m filled with love. Ohio, I might live states away and I might build my brick-and-mortar too far for you to visit, but I am nothing without your love and support. Your smiles, hugs, kiddos, doggos, kitties, and horses make my world go ‘round. I love you all, and thank you again 💗 for those of you I see tomorrow, ily in advance. Thank you all for taking this journey with your girl.

Jeni Britton Bauer taught me that ice cream means community. I have carried that lesson with me for the last 9 years as I’ve traveled the country selling ice cream to thousands and thousands of people.

The hours are long and the work is manual and sweaty. My teams of wonderful kids have been simultaneously amazing and maddening. But at the end of the day, this is why I spend my time behind the counter:

Congratulations to Jess Whetsel, our pint raffle winner! Jess has been enormously supportive of the Psychedelick project since before it even had a name. My faithful taste-taster, she selflessly sampled dozens of flavors up right up until her move back to Ohio at the beginning of May. It’s almost serendipitous that she gets to do just that from across the country later this month!
