Proof how much we love our patrons! Enjoy our tomfoolery tomorrow night for Dungeon Crawler Carl trivia, and subsequent themes in our 7 week trivia run. Just show up, or reserve your team table through our app. Participate 5+ weeks, and your top 5 weeks’ scores will be added to determine the winning team for the league, who will win weekly pints for a year.

At the brilliant suggestion of some community-minded patrons, you now have the option to Pay It Forward at Quenched & Tempered. It’s as simple as buying a b**r for a friend, and their name goes on the board and anyone feeling generous can add tokens to their name. We’re honored to start it off by putting our kitchen manager, Jacob, on the board. He leaves at the end of the month for combat medic training with the US Army National Guard. If you’ve appreciated Jacob’s outstanding service at Q&T these last few years, or if you want to express appreciation for his service to our county, come send him off with some love from his community.

Tomorrow evening we discuss Japanese dystopian novel, The Memory Police, then we look forward to a spooky mystery in October, a holiday break, and a couple historical novels for the winter. The Calamity Club is the long-awaited second novel of Kathryn Stocket, author of the The Help. AND best for last, The Pirate Queen is about the historical character we named in our Grain O’Malley Irish red ale. Happy reading friends, and we hope you can join our book discussion books some of these months.
