Anyone else have great ideas while they're in the shower?

1. I will donate all of my sad snacks Facebook earnings to Gracie and her family this and next month. This means that every time you interact with a post, we're helping Gracie as a team. I love that for us.

Now, Gracie's parents can't retire off of what Facebook pays me, but they can at least go out to dinner. I'm up to like $50 so far this month (screenshot below for proof).

2. Did you know Gracie's favorite animal is a T-Rex? We were meant to be in each other's lives I swear.

To further support her family, you can order dinosaur DIY sugar cookie kits — 4 cookies, 3 colorful bags of icing (rainbow is her favorite color), and sprinkles — for $12 each. At least $5 from each kit will be donated to Gracie.

Comment here to order. Let me know how many you want and when you'd like to pick up (starting Oct. 17).

Taking care of your health shouldn't have to wait because you don't have insurance.

Community Care Friday at UUCP provides uninsured members of our community with access to free basic medical checkups and health screenings in a caring, welcoming environment. 💙

Our next Community Care Friday is coming up this Friday, October 16th from 10am to 1pm. We are incredible thankful to BREW coffee bar and sad snacks for partnering with us to help make this day of free care possible!

Hi, saddie gang.

I love you, we're all friends here, and you know I try to be transparent with you guys.

I'm mentally exhausted, physically exhausted, emotionally exhausted. I'm burnt out and I need a break.

There will be no snack stand, no events (other than 11/8 because I already committed), no BREW coffee bar in November.

I will take on custom orders and offer Thanksgiving flash sales and preorders for sugar cookies and other desserts. If we have a standing order, we're good! I want to and will do them!

I'm easily putting 60-80 hours into sad snacks every week — planning, shopping, baking, decorating, packaging, making labels, fixing labels, stocking the stand, doing inventory of all the other vendors' stuff, dishes, laundry, social media, deliveries, checking messages. And that's as a single mom with a full-time job.

I appreciate that the snack stand is part of so many weekend routines or considered to be a fun outing for folks. I don't want to disappoint anyone, and I know that you guys will be kind and supportive, but it's still nerve-wracking to step away even temporarily. A shut down also impacts the other ladies who count on the stand as a source of income every week, but I've come really close to shutting this down more than once, and I really don't want to. I'm worried that's the trajectory I'm on if I don't pause now.

I hope you'll stick with me. It's not over, it's just time for a nap, a long shower, and a few good movie nights with my kid.

Let's finish October strong, for me and each of the sad snacks vendors. We have a couple more weekends, including sad and spooky (which I truly hope everyone will come to), and the , all of which are really important to me and I'm looking forward to.

Distance makes the heart grow fondue (I mistyped and I'm leaving it because it's funny.).

All my life, I prayed for someone like you.

Sorry for the delay, gang, but your beloved cosmic brownie cookies will be out in the morning.

You might wonder why it took so long to get these dang things frosted. And that's valid. Here's what left the sad snacks kitchen this week:

Put me on your mortal enemy list. I can't be at the Sylvania pop up today. It's my fault. I'm just not feeling myself and it's best for me to sit this one out. I'm deeply sorry.

Please still go and visit my friends. Before the Date Cakes has a great menu for today, plus Taylor’s Book Nook and Plant House - Toledo, some of my favorite people/small businesses, will be there.
