😬 It was great to catch up with an old TBEX Events pal Christopher Lau and other creator friends Mer in Michigan | Detroit + Michigan Alina Alam & Simon Mourani

👞 I even got to break out and old pair of my favorite kicks.

👔 Now that the weight keeps coming off I realized it’s time to wear my jackets again… dammmittt.

☺️ Random little dinner where I got to show-off my taste by bringing bottles from my cellar.

🇪🇸 The Osborne VORS Palo Cortado is complex as hell. It’s nutty, toffee-like, and has incredible amounts of complexity. Vinos de Jerez Sherry W**es always bring the thunder when it comes to QPR. It’s a shame that people don’t drink these w**es more often.

🇪🇸 The Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta Hinia white Rioja continues to impress everyone I recommend it to. Like a Tondonia with a touch more freshness. This is something to behold.

🇺🇸 I was introduced to Meliora W**e Co. a few months ago and this small-batch producer is DAMN impressive. It’s full of fruit, earth, & savory notes. Basically everything I want in Pinot Noir - goooo Willamette!

🇪🇸 Las Moradas de San Martín Libro Once Las Luces is their top Garnacha from mountain vineyards im Gredos. This bottle is a 2011 but still has a hell of a life ahead of it. Rich in fruit but also has the meatiness and pepper that we all crave in this variety.

🇬🇪 Khareba Chateau Lipartiani is a rich red, made with indigenous Georgian varieties made in a Bordeaux-style. At over 10 years old this thing is not even close to its peak yet. There’s so much richness that I’d love to revisit it after another 10 years and bottle. Great job Vladimer Kublashvili !!!

🎉 All the w**es showed well and everybody had a favorite. The company was wonderful in the conversations flowed seamlessly. The night summed up the ultimate purpose of w**e to me, “keeping people you love at the dinner table just a little bit longer…”
