🍑 ON TAP THIS WEEK 🍑

A quick little round of peach pie before the apples officially take over. Because summer isn’t done until we say it is. 😉

Also on tap: cinnamon bun focaccia + LOADS of cookies because apparently I’m incapable of letting you leave my kitchen without dessert.

And somehow… we’re back to consistency. 😂 The kids go back to school tomorrow, which means I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled baking, gardening, and general chaos.

At least until the first inevitable “Mom, I don’t feel good.” 😷😂

A little garden update because apparently I’ve reached the stage of summer where I measure my success in tomatoes. 😂🍅

Today’s haul: almost 40 tomatoes.

And I’m sorry, but LOOK AT THEM.

The colors. The shapes. The ridiculous variety. I swear they’re almost as pretty as my dahlias… and that is saying something.

This garden has gone completely bananas this year. What started as a little patch of dirt has turned into more tomatoes than I know what to do with, cucumbers coming out my ears, zucchini that refuses to quit, and flowers absolutely covered in pollinators.

There’s something pretty magical about walking outside with an empty basket and coming back in carrying this.

And the best part? We’re not even done yet. 🌱

Apparently August’s job is just keeping up with the harvest. 😅

Taking this week off to soak up the last little bit of summer with my kids. ☀️💛

Because as much as I love baking for all of you, these last days of summer are pretty special—and I’m choosing to slow down and enjoy them before we’re back to school, schedules, and ALL the things.

I’ll be back next week and ready to get the ovens going again with cinnamon bun focaccia, loads of cookies, and peach pie. 🍑

One year ago next week, we moved into this house.

And almost immediately, I decided the backyard needed to become something more than just a backyard. I wanted to grow food for my kitchen, flowers for my house, and eventually create a little ecosystem that felt like ours. It also became the beginning of the new brand, Butter & Bloom. 🌱

So I dug. And edged. And built garden beds. And filled them. And planted everything from seed on the windowsills of my dining room.

I did every bit of it myself—with a healthy amount of muscle supplied by the hubs when my stubbornness exceeded my strength. 😂

And somehow, in less than a year, this happened.

I’ve already picked hundreds of tomatoes, along with endless cucumbers and zucchini, and we’re nowhere near finished. I grow flowers that I actually get to cut and bring inside. I grow food that makes its way into my kitchen. And I did it all without a single pesticide.

But the part I’m most proud of isn’t even what I’m harvesting.

It’s what I’ve created around it.

Butterflies. Hummingbirds. Fireflies. Hawk moths. Monarchs. And hundreds and hundreds of bumblebees.

This garden is busy. It’s alive. It’s a little wild. And I absolutely love it.

I’m not usually one to give myself a shout-out, but today I’m going to.

I made this happen.
In less than one year.
With a shovel, a ridiculous amount of determination, a lot of seeds, and a husband who occasionally had to provide the muscle.

And honestly? I love every damn second of it. 🌱🦋🐝

ON TAP IS BACK. 🍪

I’m officially back from vacation and, naturally, I came home and immediately started baking. Because apparently I don’t know how to ease back into real life.

This week’s On Tap is keeping things simple: Garlic & Asiago Cheese Focaccia + LOADS of cookies. Basically, all the buttery, cheesy, chocolatey things you need to make coming back from vacation slightly less offensive.

What to know...

🍪 Orders open Monday at 7AM and close Tuesday at 9PM

📪 Thursday delivery by 11AM right in your mailbox

Back from vacation and straight back into the butter, sugar, and chaos. 🍪

I’ve been baking away since I got home, including having the absolute pleasure of providing some fabulous cookies for a beautiful wedding. You know I love getting to be a tiny part of someone’s special day, and this one was especially sweet. 🤍

Now that I’m back in the kitchen and fully recovered from vacation mode, On Tap is officially coming back!

The menu will drop soon, and orders will open Monday morning at 7AM with all the usual goodies (and maybe a few surprises).

It feels good to be back. Let’s bake. 🧈🌸

If you’ve been wondering where the On Tap menu disappeared to… here’s the scoop. 😊

July is a busy month around here—not just in the bakery, but at home too. My husband and my oldest both celebrate birthdays this month, and no matter how many cookies and pies I bake for everyone else, I always make time to bake for my favorite people first.

Between birthday cakes, family celebrations, and trying to soak up a little bit of summer with my girls, something had to give. This year, that was On Tap.

We’ll also be taking a little family vacation, so Butter & Bloom will remain closed until mid-August. I’m looking forward to coming back rested, inspired, and ready to fill your kitchens with all the cozy late-summer and early-fall goodies.
