It's Wednesday and National Root Beer Day! We have multiple ways to enjoy this slightly spicy beverage made from sassafras and/or other root extracts. We sell cans of root beer, root beer floats, and have 1919 Root Beer Float ice cream in the dipping cabinet to start out the day. Enjoy it or any of the other 27 flavors!

Welcome to the weekend on a sunny Saturday... it's going to be a great day to get out and do some outdoor activities, then take a break for a cool treat. We're open now through 9 tonight, starting with these 28 flavors.

Medallion searchers... a new medallion search started yesterday. Remember, it's on PUBLIC land, meaning it is on property owned by a local, county, state, or federal governmental entity. Please be respectful to private land owners; you won't find the medallion on private property.

Here's the second clue... all the recent rain has made it green.

A flag retirement ceremony is a dignified, solemn event used to properly dispose of worn or unserviceable American flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code, which states that a flag no longer fit for display should be destroyed in a respectful manner, preferably by burning.

If you have never been to a flag retirement ceremony, make plans to attend this one later today at The Loop Hole Bar. Bring the kids so they get a chance to learn more about respect, patriotism, honor, and some flag lore.

Both medallions were turned in during the past week or so... let's have a special edition medallion search! We'll call this Finder's Friday, a chance for weekend guests to participate.

Same guidelines as the past four searches:

- Public land only, don't trespass. It's not in a cemetery.
- No ladder or other tools needed.
- No blind holes to reach into.
