It’s that time again.
I know I’ll hear the same thing I hear every year: “I don’t know how you can do it.”
Well, the truth is… it’s not easy. It does hurt my heart, and saying goodbye is never something I look forward to. But I also know that our family has given him an amazing, happy life, and that’s something I’m grateful for.
Like all the others before him, he was brought to our farm with a purpose. That’s why they’re always given “beef names”—a little reminder of the purpose they were raised for.
Flank Steak has been such a good fella, and we appreciate everything he has given and will continue to give our family.
Our freezer will be stocked, our bellies will be full, and we know exactly what went into raising this steer. The care, the time, the work, and the love that went into him are something you simply can’t buy at the grocery store.
It’s never easy, but it’s part of the life we’ve chosen and the way we raise our food.
Thank you, Flank Steak, for your sacrifice. You were well loved, well cared for, and your purpose was fulfilled. ❤️🐂
