BISBEE Community Market @ Vista Park is such a great market! The community gets out every weekend to support the market and to meet up with friends. It's such a cool vibe. Everywhere you look, people are chatting, smiling, hugging. Everyone is packing bags and parcels, shuffling them from shoulder to shoulder as the weight of their goods get heavy. And mand women carry flowers, a local, Pastor Don, sees to that. Soft, but hip music plays in the background. Dogs are everywhere, socializing with their own friends, getting free pets, and drinking from the cool water bowls the vendors are sure to remember. Next door to me, Anna and Walter have their tables of flowering plants and veggies, and roses, gorgeous roses. The smell occasionally wafts over, surrounding me in a delicate sweetness. Every person here at the market has grown a plant of Anna's. She has been here since the beginning, decades ago. ago. Her plants are magical, and her love for them shows. Her work in her gardens give her a certain shine, and her 80 years look like 60 on her. And Yolanda, on the other side, what a sweet lady. She has an assortment of goods. She has her daughter's hands roasted coffee that I have tried. It's rich and smooth. And her dates, from her family farm in Yuma. She picks and processes and packages them herself. So fresh and soft. Then of course, there's her tortillas -- blue corn is my favorite 😍. Come on down to Bisbee folks. Saturday 9-1:00pm. Gotta experience Bisbee.
