We’re recruiting Fall Semester Sustainability Interns at Salt Bridge Farm, a program of Bright Harbor Healthcare!

If you’re a college student interested in sustainability, agriculture, environmental science, food systems, horticulture, or community impact, this is an opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience on a working farm.

Our interns don’t just watch—they participate.

This fall, interns will have opportunities to work with and learn about:

🌿 Sustainable and regenerative agriculture
🏡 High-tunnel growing and season extension
💧 Hydroponics and aquaponics
🍄 Mushroom and specialty crop production
🐑 Livestock and farm systems
🌱 Food production and local food systems
♻️ Sustainability projects and resource conservation
🤝 The connection between agriculture, community, and human well-being

Salt Bridge Farm is a unique environment where we can learn, experiment, build, and grow together while doing work that has a real impact.

☕🌱 A HUGE thank you to Spire Coffeehouse!

Community partnerships like this are exactly what make us so grateful to call Ocean County home.

Spire Coffee has been generously donating their used coffee grounds to Salt Bridge Farm, where we’re giving them a second life! Coffee grounds can be incorporated into our culinary mushroom-growing efforts, composting, soil-building initiatives, and other sustainable growing practices happening at the farm. 🍄🌱

And their support didn’t stop there! Spire also welcomed us in for a Bright Harbor Healthcare pop-up shop, giving us the opportunity to share our Stiggy and Salt Bridge Farm merchandise and connect with even more members of our community.

Our gratitude is endless. 💙 Thank you, Spire Coffee, for finding creative ways to support our mission, our farm, and the people we serve.

Today was a wonderful day off Exit 63 as more than a hundred providers and stakeholders gathered to collaborate and brainstorm new ways to address food insecurity in Southern Ocean County.
A very special thank you to Fulfill and the Grunin Foundation for inviting The Nook Ocean County NJ and Salt Bridge Farm from Bright Harbor Healthcare to convene at this summit. We look forward to growing our partnerships in the community.
