4R Fiber

4R Fiber Homegrown fibers from our farm to your home. Living here in very rural Okanogan County there's not a lot of things one can do or much cell service either.

We specialize in Wensleydale sheep and have a few Merinos ewes that we cross with our wensleydale rams to create what we call Mer-dale lambs for our Mer-dale fibers ,selling breeding stock Animals seem to be a way of life for so many around here. I've always being an arts and craft type person making things in between raised kids and taking care of critters. When we sold all the cattle off

the ranch I had to have some animal around after a couple of years of nothing here. We tried a few regular goats but oh my! oh my! they where everywhere and in every thing! Off they went to sale and then alpaca's came most are rescued alpaca's or retired. I first started felting their fleeces into pot holders and such and then friends wanted spinning fiber. The Mohair Angora goats came next, then some Shetland sheep but they where as hard as goats on fences ,Then I met my Dream fiber animal a WENSLEYDALE sheep at a national sheep show
Long wooled ,lustrous ,super soft, their from the UK , big gentle giants but quite spendy too ! it took a few years to get to where we are at with our herd but we have 30 ewes and ram or two an lots of lambs every year This has caused us to become a full Minnie Fiber Mill with all the equitment to process the wool into usable products of fiber for local folks who spin or knitters or crafters
and thanks to my sister we have a
page to sell and advertise
things on.
