One bouquet can make a difference in someone’s life.

I met and spent a very special weekend with several wonderful women at the Growing Kindness retreat. We came together with a shared mission and a love for blessing others through flowers. We were blessed to spend the weekend in the most beautiful settings, learning, creating, and getting to know one another.

We made bouquets after being taught by the gifted and expert bouquet designer 𝙵𝚕𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚢 𝙵𝚕𝚎𝚞𝚛𝚜 | 𝙰𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚒𝚊 𝚂𝚌𝚑𝚠𝚎𝚍𝚎. We then took our bouquets to a local nursing home to share with the residents. They were so sweet and gracious. It was such a special experience.

I’ve definitely felt God’s calling on my life—to bless others with flowers. It’s more than just giving someone a bouquet. The stories I’ve heard along the way have been emotional and, at times, overwhelming. Sometimes it’s a lot.

But I keep seeing the difference one little act of kindness can make in someone’s life. Kindness isn’t always a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s simply sitting with someone, being present in a moment, listening to them, and letting them know they are seen. And sometimes, that bouquet and the time you spend can mean more than you will ever know.

Thank you to Deanna, Cassie, and so many others for curating a lovely weekend. I will cherish the time spent with each one of you.

If you would like to nominate someone going through a difficult time or someone that’s always helping others please private message me. What a fun and wonderful weekend! I’ve had custom bouquets coming out my ears, and it makes me so happy. Thank you all for the support!

The season is winding down, and my very busy time at my other full-time job is just around the corner. September will be filled with traveling for a couple of weeks for conferences, along with a much-needed mini vacation to watch the Ellensburg Rodeo. I’ll also be attending a very special retreat next weekend that I’ll share more about later. So I’m soaking up these last weeks of flower season while I can!

Of course, I’m already in flower farm planning mode for next year. I’ve been pouring through seed catalogs, and I usually end up wanting to grow far more than I could possibly fit or take care of in the flower field.

As I reflect on this flower season, I think about all that I’ve learned. There are flowers I didn’t think I would like that I absolutely love, and others I thought I would love that I’ll probably never grow again. And then there are the ones I can’t get enough of…now I have to wait until next year to grow them again!

That’s one of the things I love about growing flowers - there’s always something new to discover, something to learn, and something to look forward to.

Thank you for entrusting me with your special moments and milestones. I had the joy of creating two very special bouquets this weekend - one for a beautiful vow renewal and another to celebrate a 100th birthday. It’s such an honor to be a small part of these meaningful moments and precious celebrations. And this little ladybug visitor agrees! 🐞

I just put this bouquet and a few others in my cooler. Let me know if you’d like to pick one up.

I harvested these blooms this morning and hung them with the other flowers I’ve been drying. I used to not like dried flowers, but that ship has definitely sailed! Now I’m completely in LOVE! There’s just something so special about being able to enjoy them long after they’ve been harvested.

This sweet bouquet was harvested fresh from the field tonight.

The colors, the details, and the way each flower is made are a simple reminder of the Creator’s handiwork. Gathering flowers from the field and making a bouquet for someone is a special way to end the day.

My happy place…

The herb garden in the flower field. It’s still a work in progress, but I kind of love it that way. There’s always something to plant, move, add, and dream about.

Come spring, I’m excited to add more beds, herbs, and hardscape and watch it continue to take shape. I’ll also be giving the herb garden up by the house a major makeover.

I love growing the things I use. Fresh herbs for cooking and little bits of the garden for homemade skincare.

There’s just something so satisfying about making things from what you’ve grown yourself.
