One bouquet can make a difference in someone’s life.
I met and spent a very special weekend with several wonderful women at the Growing Kindness retreat. We came together with a shared mission and a love for blessing others through flowers. We were blessed to spend the weekend in the most beautiful settings, learning, creating, and getting to know one another.
We made bouquets after being taught by the gifted and expert bouquet designer 𝙵𝚕𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚢 𝙵𝚕𝚎𝚞𝚛𝚜 | 𝙰𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚒𝚊 𝚂𝚌𝚑𝚠𝚎𝚍𝚎. We then took our bouquets to a local nursing home to share with the residents. They were so sweet and gracious. It was such a special experience.
I’ve definitely felt God’s calling on my life—to bless others with flowers. It’s more than just giving someone a bouquet. The stories I’ve heard along the way have been emotional and, at times, overwhelming. Sometimes it’s a lot.
But I keep seeing the difference one little act of kindness can make in someone’s life. Kindness isn’t always a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s simply sitting with someone, being present in a moment, listening to them, and letting them know they are seen. And sometimes, that bouquet and the time you spend can mean more than you will ever know.
Thank you to Deanna, Cassie, and so many others for curating a lovely weekend. I will cherish the time spent with each one of you.
