We decided to bale the remnant prairie meadow on the back of the farm. This is where we winter our cattle and usually just trim it back before calving season (that starts in about 3 weeks 😊). Anyway, with the rains this summer the prairie did amazing. I thought we’d get 35-40 bales. Our neighbor (Farmer Joe) is baling and has about 75 done with more to go. This is on maybe 15 acres. That’s a lot of hay!

A delicious American Waygu roast makes a great Monday Night Meal and beyond. Prepare the roast Sunday evening by combining your favorite ingredients (ours are simply potatoes and carrots) and refrigerate overnight. Then turn on the crock pot in the morning and come home to a ready made meal the whole family enjoys. The left overs are just as good the next day as BBQ beef (our favorite is made with D&D BBQ sauce) or hot roast beef sandwiches.
