Just being nominated has already meant so much to us. When we planted our first lavender plants years ago, we never imagined something created on our little patch of Kansas soil would be recognized like this.

The support from this community has helped Somerset grow from a dream into something real — and recognition like this helps us continue growing, reaching more people, and creating experiences that bring people together.

Last summer, over 1,600 people came out to our very first Red, White & Lavender Festival.

There were lavender bundles, lavender ice cream, vendors, kids running through the field… and moments we’ll never forget.

Now, that same festival is nominated for a Topeka Community’s Choice Award—and we’re still wrapping our heads around it.

As we get ready for the Red, White & Lavender Festival (and a busy season on the farm!), we’re looking for a few more helping hands to join our Somerset family.
