Finca El Socorro's washed Gesha lot has a storied history: first place in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence competition in 2020 and 2023, and top five in 2024, 2025, and again this year.

Needless to say we're *thrilled* when the new harvest arrives and development roasts hit the cupping table each year.

The cup is lush and elegant with notes of white peach, floral violet and coriander, and bright clementine. A real treat available now in our Blue Label line. Roasting on Mondays and Thursdays while supplies last!

What a great start to the week 🙌 We’re honored to announce that Tres Dragones Natural has been selected as a finalist in the experimental coffee category for Coffee Review’s inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup!

Café Granja La Esperanza's Tres Dragones Natural has achieved a cult following among our customers over the past few years, and rightfully so: it's one of the most uniquely flavorful lots we source on a regular basis. The coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked and sorted before fermenting for 36 hours under controlled temperature. After fermentation, the coffee begins drying in a silo for 48 hours, then moves to a solar drying facility for 15 days, until it reaches a moisture content of 11%.

We love this coffee for its trademark strawberry flavor and bright citric acidity alongside baking spice and vanilla notes reminiscent of rum. It’s truly one-of-a-kind.

Uniquely flavorful. One-of-a-kind. One of our most anticipated arrivals every year. We’re talking about Tres Dragones Natural, of course! 🐉 🐉 🐉

This coffee is one of the most uniquely flavorful lots we regularly source, even without any alternative or experimental processing. The coffee cherries are picked manually and rigorously sorted before fermenting for 36 hours under controlled temperature. After fermentation, the coffee begins drying in a silo for 48 hours, and is then moved to a solar drying facility for 15 days, until it reaches a moisture content of 11%.

With its combination of high-toned citric acidity, trademark strawberry note, and rich undertones of cocoa nib and baking spice, it’s easy to see why Tres Dragones Natural has an ever-growing fan following. Have you tried it yet?

New from Peru 🇵🇪

San Fernando Cedrobamba Washed is a unique high-altitude lot that combines Bourbon, Typica, and Gesha grown by 14 smallholders at 2,100-2,350 masl (!!) in Cusco Department.

Cooperativa San Fernando was founded in 2001 and has grown to more than 450 members today with strong governance, a cupping lab enhancing quality control and lot separation, and more. The coop is a new partner of Crop to Cup Coffee Importers, who sourced this lot.

The cup is deliciously crisp with notes of candied almond, orange, and black tea.

This is our eighth year working with Fernando 'Nando' Diaz of FINCA SANTA ANA, a longtime partner of our sister company, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. It’s also the sixth year we’ve had the pleasure of featuring Nando’s Pineapple Process! 🍍

This experimental process begins by fermenting about 70 fresh pineapples for 48 hours to build a colony of wild yeast and bacteria. That’s right, 70 pineapples! The coffee and fruit ferment together for a further 48 hours before the coffee is washed. In turn, the pineapple accentuates the sweetness and acidity of the Caturra and Bourbon varietals.

This year’s harvest featured aromas of candied almond, apricot, and red apple, with notes of apricot, black tea and rosehip in the cup. Marmalade acidity provides a juicy body that's balanced by milk chocolate sweetness. Black tea lingers through the finish, joined by a touch of apple cider.
