Good morning! We haven’t had the worst of the snow yet, but the cold is deadly. We ARE here today, but we strongly encourage you to be safe and stay home if you can. It’s a good day to curl up with a book, or your fur baby, or your sig other, or all of those, and enjoy being warm and safe. Cheers!

We decided to follow Roxy’s lead and ease in to 2026. We got up early and got some pictures of the downtown Lawrence lights, Rev City Church’s parking lot tree, and a large mantis sculpture that has lights, but by the time we got there they were off. Then a little later at home, this huge hawk appeared in our maple tree. It stayed for the longest time and we thought it might be sick or injured, but if you zoom in you can see it was simply having breakfast. (Hawk images are in the comments for those who prefer not to view.) Anyway, dull days are nice now and then, but we didn’t want to miss the chance to thank all of you for your ongoing support and wish you all a Most Auspicious New Year. We couldn’t do this without you, nor would we want to. Have a great 2026! Cheers!
